The Kirkfield & District Historical Society is a registered charity. Our mission is to bring together the community to preserve and promote local history, heritage, and culture. Some of our goals include:

1. Undertake & promote historical studies with the Village of Kirkfield and the surrounding area.

2. Share historical information, spark interest in the past, and encourage the preservation of the historical, archaeological, architectural, and cultural heritage of the community.

3. Discover, collect, preserve and display materials that help to establish, illustrate or define the history of the Village of Kirkfield and the surrounding area.

4. Operate a resource centre, archival repository, and/or museum.

5. Engage and support the community with program planning, such as our concert series, speaker series, art exhibits or workshops, genealogical research, historical research, and heritage preservation.

6. Collaborate with other community groups, such as the Kirkfield Lions Club.

How Your Donation Will Be Used

The Kirkfield & District Historical Society (or "KDHS") is a volunteer-run organization. We are 100% funded by our valued members, donors, and sponsors. As such, 100% of your donation will flow into the organization. Your donation will be used for museum enhancements and operation, programming initiatives, operational expenses (i.e. utilities, insurance), capital upgrades and other vital expenses.
